Men's Volleyball vs. Maranatha Baptist And Greenville Preview

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's volleyball team looks for two more wins on Saturday in its tri-match against Maranatha Baptist and Greenville. The team will take on Maranatha Baptist at 12 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m., contest against Greenville. Maranatha Baptist and Greenville will square off at 2 p.m.

A Look At The Griffins

• The Griffins are coming off its sixth straight sweep this past Saturday after defeating Concordia Wisconsin in straight sets.
• In the contest, the Griffins totaled 31 kills and a .292 hitting percentage. Defensively, they had 35 digs and 10 block assists. Emir Hadzisalihovic led with eight kills.
• On the year, the Griffins rank fourth nationally with 12.68 kills per set and fifth overall with a .304 hitting percentage.
• Mark Klusman leads them in the kill department with 72. Josh Farley is second on the team with 65 kills.
• Hadzisalihovic has 56 kills, to go along with his match-high .490 hitting percentage and 21 blocks.
• Braden Woolsey is also off to a strong start on both sides of the net with 58 kills, a .455 hitting percentage, and 16 blocks.
• Kyler van Rossum-O'Connell ranks third nationally with 10.30 assists per set and Zach Rothstein paces them defensively with 89 digs.

A Look At The Maranatha Baptist Sabercats

• The Sabercats are in search of its first win on the year after falling to Trine in straight sets this past Saturday.
• On the year, the Sabercats have posted 6.72 kills per set and a .091 hitting percentage.
• Senior outside hitter Derek Wallis owns a team-high 89 kills and a .144 hitting percentage.
• Setter Taylor Dafoe has dished out 199 assists and Wallis has compiled a team-high 70 digs.
• Fontbonne def. Maranatha Baptist in four sets (25-12, 25-18, 21-25, 25-13) back on Feb. 2^nd.

A Look At The Greenville Panthers

• The Panthers picked up two wins last Saturday with a five-set win over Trine and a sweep over Maranatha Baptist.
• On the year, the Panthers have tallied 11.34 kills on a .250 hitting percentage.
• Kyle Ward continues to lead the offense with 117 kills and a .214 hitting percentage.
• Nick Corrigan is the final player with at least 100 kills (111).
• Setter Tanner Smith has 421 assists thus far and has a team-high 73 digs thus far.
