Ryan LeGrand Tabbed As 2019 MCVL Coach Of The Year
ST. LOUIS, Mo.— The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League announced head men’s volleyball coach, Ryan LeGrand, as the 2019 Coach of the Year.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.— The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League announced head men's volleyball coach, Ryan LeGrand, as the 2019 Coach of the Year.
Coach LeGrand had a memorable first season at the helm of the program. He guided the Griffins to a program-record 26 wins, an MCVL Tournament Championship over then No. 1-ranked Carthage, and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament where they advanced all the way to the Elite 8, all of which are program firsts. The team ended the 2019 campaign ranked 12th nationally which is its highest ranking in program history.
Staistically as a team, the Griffins ranked first nationally in digs per set (13.00), fifth in blocks per set (2.34), fifth in opponent hitting percentage (.115), seventh in kills per set (12.51), and eighth in assists per set (11.74).
