Fontbonne Men's Volleyball Wins Sixth Straight To Close Out Regular Season

OLIVET, Mich.—The Fontbonne University men's volleyball team closed out its regular season on a six-game win streak after a sweep over Olivet. It marks the first time in program history the Griffins went unbeaten in conference play.

Set Notes

Set 1: After Olivet opened with a 5-0 lead, the Griffins eventually went on a 7-0 run taking a 14-9 advantage after consecutive kills from Braden Woolsey and Ryan Lively.

The Griffins closed out the set from there in dominating fashion for the 25-16 win on Kolin Scharnhorst's kill.

Set 2: The Comets held a lead early in the second having an 11-7 advantage on Kai Hartman's kill. From there, the Griffins went on a 7-1 run taking a 14-12 advantage.

Olivet tried a late rally late trailing 23-22, but back-to-back kills from Diego Cruz and Cameron Graves gave Fontbonne the 25-22 set win.

Set 3: After Olivet grabbed the early lead, the Griffins led 11-8 on Tengis Kelley's service ace. The Comets kept battling and held a 22-19 advantage on Kai Hartman's kill.

However, the Griffins closed out the set on a 6-0 run with a Lee Kreutzman kill securing the 25-22 victory.

• Fontbonne finished with 39 kills and a .354 hitting percentage.
• Olivet ended with 35 kills and a .126 hitting percentage.
• At the net, the Griffins had two solo blocks and 12 block assists.

• Lee Kreutzman tied his career-high with eight kills and contributed seven digs.
