Fontbonne Men’s Volleyball Selected to Finish Sixth in MCVL Preseason Poll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University men's volleyball team was selected to finish sixth in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced the conference office.

"Although we have lots of new faces on the court and on the coaching staff, we have spent this fall creating a standard to help us reach our goal of returning to the MCVL tournament," stated Head Coach TJ Vorva. "The program is itching to get rolling this season and I am proud to coach these young men!"

The Griffins ended last season in fifth place with a 14-11 overall record and 4-4 in conference play.

The team returns 13 student-athletes and welcome three newcomers.

The Griffins open their season on Saturday, Jan. 13 at home versus Dominican (Ill.) at 3 p.m. Their schedule features 26 games with 12 at home. They begin MCVL play on Friday, Mar. 15, with a home game versus Trine.
