How It Happened
After a leadoff double from Lexi Becker to start the game off, the Griffins grabbed a 1-0 lead on Grace Paez sacrifice fly.
In the fourth, the Griffins put the game away. After a single from Gracie Morris, a fly-out, and an error the Griffins expanded its lead out to 4-0 on Hannah Miener's 3-run shot, her third on the season.
Lexi Becker and Lilly Jones each added RBI singles giving Fontbonne a commanding 6-0 lead. They added two more runs in the fifth on RBI from Abby Richmond and Patience Vandermierden en route to the mercy-run rule win.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Miener went 1-for-3 with a run scored and season-high three RBI.
- Becker went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.
- Jones, Richmond, and Vandermierden contributed one hit and an RBI each.
- Grace Harlin finished 1-for-3 with a run scored.
- Inside the circle, Abby Richmond tossed a shutout and struck out four improving to 5-4 on the season.

How It Happened
It was a scoreless game up until the top of the fourth. Gracie Morris led off with a walk. Two batters later, Sara Joines brought her home with an RBI single to center.
Joines didn't have to wait long out on the base paths to score as Miener followed with her second homer in as many games extending the lead out to 4-0.
Grace Harlin added an RBI single in the seventh making it a 5-0 contest and that was more than enough for starter Michaela Mason who tossed a gem allowing just one hit in the fourth to secure the shutout win for Fontbonne.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Mason went the distance allowing just the one hit and striking out three for her sixth win on the season.
- Becker and Jones combined to go 4-for-8 with a run scored in the 1-2 spots in the order.
- Miener's home run was her fourth on the year and pushed her RBI total up to 15.
- Grace Paez, Morris, Harlin, Joines, and Galczynski each had a hit in the win.
