Fontbonne Softball's Bats Lead The Way In Game Two Win Over Webster
ST. ANN, Mo.—After being held to two hits in game one, the Fontbonne University softball team got its offense going scoring 12 runs on 14 hits en route to the 12-7 win to split the nonconference series.

How It Happened
The scoring got started for the Gorloks in the second on a solo homer from Kaelyn Kearney. Webster made it 2-0 in the third on Alyssa McWilliams RBI double. The Gorloks put the game away in the sixth scoring three runs on two hits for the shutout win.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Grace Harlin and Skylar Freeman had one hit each.
- Michaela Mason took the tough loss going the distance allowing three earned runs on seven hits.

How It Happened
The Griffins got on the board early with Grace Paez hitting her first collegiate homer giving Fontbonne a 1-0 lead. In the second, the Griffins extended its lead out to 2-0 on Patience Vandermierden's RBI single which brought home Grace Harlin who led off with a walk.
From there, Lexi Becker, Lilly Jones, Paez (two), and Gracie Morris each recorded an RBI extending the lead out to 7-1.
The bats didn't slow down in the third scoring five more runs on four hits with Madison Galczynski, Jones, and Paez (two) again having at least one RBI putting the Griffins well out in front, 12-1.
The Gorloks went on to score six unanswered runs but the comeback was not to be with Fontbonne going on for the five-run victory.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Paez had her first four hit day going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and season-high five RBI.
- Galczynski recorded her first three hit day reaching base four times going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.
- Hannah Miener went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
- Jones added two hits and two RBI.
- Becker, Morris and Vandermierden contributed a hit and RBI each.
- The 1-4 hitters of Becker, Jones, Paez, and Morris combined to go 8-for-19 with five runs scored and nine RBI.
- Inside the circle, Becker tossed a complete game allowing five earned runs and striking out two.
