Chrisco leads Softball's Offense in Doubleheader Shutout

Game 1 Breakdown
Kassidy Chrisco started it off for the Griffins with a single to the shortstop. Logan Darrow hit a blast to center field, bringing around Chrisco to score. Alaina Hotop grounded out to the shortstop but earned an RBI as Darrow scored on the play. Lexi Becker doubled to left field but was stranded on the next play, 2-0.
With two outs in the top of the second inning, Allysa Ibarra started it off by reaching on an error by the left fielder. Kassidy Chrisco doubled to left field, scoring Ibarra. Courtney Dingley came in as a pinch hitter and reached on an error by the third baseman, scoring Chrisco. Fontbonne scores two more runs and holds Principia scoreless on defense, 4-0.
Maddie Holtmeyer led it off for Fontbonne in the top of the fourth inning and reached on an error by the left fielder, and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Sam Foppe singled to second base, moving Holtmeyer to third. Allysa Ibarra grounded out to the pitcher but Holtmeyer was able to score on the play. Kassidy Chrisco stayed hot with another double to left field, bringing around Foppe to score. Grace Paez reached on an error by the right fielder, scoring Chrisco, an advancing to second on the error. Paez moved around to third on a wild pitch. Alaina Hotop earned a walk and the runners advanced on another wild pitch, scoring Paez. Abby Richmond singled to center field, earning an RBI after Hotop crossed the plate. Fontbonne extends their lead to 9-0.
The fifth inning was scoreless for both teams, but the Griffins had done enough to wrap up game one with a win, 9-0. Three Fontbonne pitchers split game one, with Hannah Borgmeyer earning the win and shutout.

Game 2 Breakdown
The Griffins continued their hitting spree in game two against Principia. Top Griffin from game one, Kassidy Chrisco, drew a walk at her first at ball and then proceeded to steal second. She then advanced to third on a wild pitch. Allysa Ibarra doubled to left field, bringing Chrisco home. Gracie Morris was hit by a pitch and both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Two more wild pitches brought in two more Fontbonne runners. Michaela Mason walked and then advanced on a wild pitch. Lilly Jones reached on an error by the shortstop, advancing Mason to third. Mason scored on a wild pitch and Courtney Dingley walked. Abby Richmond reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Jones. Richmond stole second and Maddie Holtmeyer singled to second base, moving Richmond to third. Lexi Becker walked. Kassidy Chrisco singled to center field on her second at-bat of the inning, scoring Holtmeyer and Richmond. Fontbonne takes a big lead in the first inning, 7-0.
The second inning was productive again for the Fontbonne offense. Gracie Morris led it off with a double to left field. Michaela Mason singled to left field, scoring Morris on the play. Mason advanced on a wild pitch and Lilly Jones singled to third base. Courtney Dingley singled to the catcher, loading up the bases. Abby Richmond singled to center field, driving in Mason. Maddie Holtmeyer reached on an error by right field, scoring Jones on the play. Lexi Becker singled to left field, earning an RBI as Dingley crossed the plate. With bases loaded, Kassidy Chrisco was hit by a pitch, advancing Richmond home. Allysa Ibarra singled to center field, bringing home Holtmeyer. Gracie Morris added an RBI single to center field, scoring Chrisco. Michaela Mason reached on an error by the third baseman, scoring Ibarra. The Griffins add to their lead, 15-0.
In the top of the third inning, Courtney Dingley singled to third base. Abby Richmond doubled to left field. Ellie Bartlett stepped in as a pinch hitter and hit an RBI single to center field, scoring Dingley. Logan Darrow also pinch hit and was walked, advancing Bartlett to second. Kassidy Chrisco singled to right field, earning another RBI on the day, scoring Richmond. Allysa Ibarra reached on a fielder's choice, moving around Bartlett to score. The Griffins advance the score to 18-0.
The bats continued to be hot for the Griffins in the fourth inning. Michaela Mason doubled to left field. Lilly Jones singled to the pitcher, advancing Mason to third. Courtney Dingley walked, loading up the bases. Abby Alonzo walked, bringing in Mason to score. Sam Foppe entered as a pinch hitter and singled to left field, driving in Jones. Logan Darrow singled to left field, advancing the runners and loading up the bases again. Kassidy Chrisco singled to left field, bringing around Alonzo to score, and bumping the lead to 21-0.
Fontbonne added two more runs in the top of the fifth. Allysa Ibarra reached on an error by the shortstop. Grace Paez entered as a pinch hitter and was hit by a pitch. Michaela Mason reached on an error by right field, loading up the bases. Lilly Jones singled to left field, scoring Ibarra. Courtney Dingley was hit by a pitch, advancing Paez home. Fontbonne wins game two in five innings. Abby Richmond earns the win in the circle for the Griffins, not allowing any hits and striking out two. Abby Alonzo and Sam Foppe also contributed in the circle limiting Principia to three hits and striking out 7 batters.
