Softball Sweeps Blackburn, Wins Fourth Consecutive
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University softball team won their fourth consecutive game in a row today with two wins against Blackburn. The Griffins improve to 14-12 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University softball team won their fourth consecutive game in a row today with two wins against Blackburn. The Griffins improve to 14-12 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
Game One: The Griffins took an 8-3 victory over Blackburn.
- Makenzie Howell, Jaynanne Roate, Allysa Ibarra, and Lilly Jones each scored one run.
- Grace Paez and Ashley Carrow each scored two runs.
- Allyssa Ibarra and Grace Paez each added two hits
- Ashley Carrow and Ellie Bartlett each recorded three hits.
- Grace Paez, Ashley Carrow, Ellie Bartlett, and Brenna Foley each had two RBIs.
Sam Foppe (2-2) pitched the complete game and took the win. She struck out one and allowed six hits and three runs.
Game Two: The Griffins took down Blackburn, 9-5.
- Lilly Jones had three hits.
- Grace Paez, Ellie Bartlett, and Kassidy Chrisco each added two hits.
- Allysa Ibarra and Ashley Carrow each scored two runs.
- Lilly Jones, Grace Paez, Madelyn Holtmeyer, Makenzie Howell, and Kassidy Chrisco each scored one run.

- Ellie Bartlett, Brena Foley, Patience Vandermierden, and Kassidy Chrisco each added one RBI.
Abby Alonzo pitched 4.2 innings. She struck out two and allowed seven hits and five runs. Hannah Borgmeyer (2-0) was credited with the win. She pitched 2.1 innings and struck out one.
