KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Fontbonne University softball team traveled South to Florida one last time for their annual spring break trip. The Griffins played four different opponents there and triumphed against Lasell.
Game one against Lasell, 8-3
Kassidy Chrisco and Macy Brown each had two hits and scored two runs. Brown hit a homer and drove four runs in. Ashley Carrow added two hits while Allysa Ibarra scored two runs. Karmen Daniels and Madelyn Holtmeyer each scored one run.
Sam Foppe pitched a complete game earning the win in the circle. She struck out seven while allowing seven hits and three runs.
Fontbonne earned losses to Earlham (3-1), Massachusetts-Dartmouth (4-3) and New England College (4-3).
Game against Earlham, 3-1
Jillian Mengel recorded two hits. Ashley Carrow had one hit and one run while Karmen Daniels added one hit and one RBI.
Hannah Borgmeyer took the loss in the circle. She pitched 3.2 innings and struck out two while allowing seven hits and three runs. Abby Alonzo pitched 3.1 innings. She struck out two while allowing four hits.
Game against Massachusetts-Dartmouth, 4-3
Brenna Foley went 2-for-3 on the day. Foley, Karmen Daniels and Allysa Ibarra each scored one run. Kassidy Chrisco added one RBI.
Abby Alonzo was credited with the loss. She pitched 7.0 innings and struck out three while allowing seven hits and four runs.
Game against New England College, 4-3
Grace Paez and Abby Alonzo recorded two hits. Kassidy Chrisco, Macy Brown and Allysa Ibarra each scored one run. Paez and Brenna Foley added one RBI each.
Sam Foppe took the loss in the circle. She pitched 6.1 innings and struck out five while allowing nine hits and four runs.
