Track And Field Opens Indoor Season At The Titan First Chance Meet

On the men's side, the Griffins were highlighted by newcomer Mark Fisher breaking a four year program record with a 13.40 m (43'11.75") toss in the shot put to finish in sixth.
Another newcomer, Tyree Simms, finished in seventh place with a throw of 12.96 m (42'6.25"). Tyler Green followed in 23rd at 9.83 m (32'3"), while Spencer Parkinson finished in 27th at 8.02 m (26'3.75").
In the weight throw, Fisher led with a mark of 11.40 m (37'5") for a 19th place finish and good enough for second-best all-time in indoor at Fontbonne. Simms finished in 22nd at 10.41 m (34'2"), while Parkinson ended in 25th at 8.74 m (28'8.25").
Ian Cordell hit a personal-record with a toss of 8.21 m (26'11.25") and Green ended in 29th at 6.92 m (22'8.5").
In the 3k, Dominic Mueller finished in 13th at 10:28.75, while in the mile he timed out at 5:07.20. Christopher Strange also competed in the mile finishing in 10th at 5:28.55.
Da'Kwan Tilson ran in the 200-meter dash timing out at 25.73. and the 60-meter at 7.49 which is tied for second best at Fontbonne all-time.
In the weight throw on the women's side, Holly Pearce hit a personal-record mark of 12.66 m (41'6.5") for ninth place. Jessica Ballard also had a PR throw of 9.25 m (30'4.25"). In the shot put, Pearce had another PR throw of 9.99 m (32'9.5") for 13th place. Ballard, meanwhile, ended in 23rd at 7.76 m (25'5.5").
In the 300-meter dash, Alexa Lofgren just missed off her PR ending with a time of 45.67 for ninth place. In the 200-meter dash, Madelyn Huffstetter finished at 29.72, while in the 60-meter dash she finished with a time of 8.37.
