St. Louis- Fontbonne University women's basketball is now 1-1 on the season after falling to Kenyon College today 42-74. Kenyon raises their season record to 2-0.
Kenyon's Lauren Kriete nailed a 3-point jumper just seven seconds into the game. Kenyon's offense exploded leaving the Griffins behind. Despite yielding a 69% free throw percentage, the Griffins couldn't bounce back. The Griffins totaled 22 turnovers, which gave Kenyon an added advantage.
Fontbonne freshman Samantha Voeglte scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against the Kenyon Ladies. Senior Allison Hogan scored 8 points and rebounded 7 shots.
Hogan was the only Griffin named to the Anderson All-Tournament Team.
Fontbonne's next game will be at Blackburn College on December 1st at 1pm.
