St. Louis- Greenville's immediate full court press cuppled with Fontbonne's shooting struggles gave the Panthers the lead early in the game. Greenville led at the half 35-24 and would go on to win the game 62-42.
Fontbonne finished the season 9-16 overall and 8-8 in SLIAC play. Greenville also finished 8-8 in the SLIAC but squeezed in a winning record finishing 13-12 overall.
Greenville senior Laura Hobbie (Vandaliia, IL/Vandalia) scored 14 points in the 1st half and finished with the game-high 21 points.
Fontbonne senior Allison Hogan (Springfield, IL/Glenwood) ended her career tonight with a Griffin team-high 11 points. Hogan also contributed with 8 rebounds.
Griffin freshman Samantha Voegtle (Belleville, IL/Belleville West) brought in a strong 11 rebounds.
In addition to Hogan, Fontbonne also loses Ava Johnson (Perryville, MO/Perryville and Hillary Johnson (Flora, IL/Flora) next season.
