How It Happened
In the first quarter, the Griffins trailed 11-8 with 7:12 remaining on Rylee Stafford's two made free throws. The Blue Jays answered with a 9-0 run to lead 20-8 on Chloe Akerson's 3-pointer.
At 2:07, Haley Buscher hit her 3-pointer to trim the deficit down to 23-16, however, the Blue Jays closed out the quarter on an 8-0 run to lead by 15 after one.
In the second quarter, the Griffins were outscored 19-5 and had its struggles from the floor going 2-of-14 (14.3 percent) and 0-of-10 from downtown which allowed Westminster to lead 50-21 at the break.
In the second half, the Blue Jays outscored Fontbonne 39-36 as they were able to go on for the 32-point win.
