How It Happened
The Griffins led 5-4 with 5:45 remaining on Rylee Stafford's 3-pointer. The Panthers, though closed out the final five minutes on a 11-3 run leading 15-8 after one.
In the second quarter, the Griffins started to chip away at the lead with Jillian Venegas hitting a 3-pointer with 6:08 remaining putting Fontbonne down, 19-17.
However, the Panthers went on another run to close out a quarter, this time around being an 18-2 run owning a 37-19 advantage at the break.
In the third, the Griffins shot an improved 40.0 percent from the field but the Panthers still led 58-34 going into the fourth quarter.
Fontbonne shot 41.2 percent from the floor in the fourth, while getting a team-high eight points from Haley Buscher off the bench and six from Stafford, however, the Panthers held control the rest of the way for the 27-point win.

- Fontbonne shot 32.3 percent from the field and had its struggles from downtown going 6-of-36 (16.7 percent).
- Greenville shot 50.0 percent from the field and owned a 45-31 advantage on the glass.

- The Griffins totaled 20 points off the bench and were led by Buscher's career-high 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
- Stafford ended with 16 points, while Jillian Venegas totaled 10 points and nine boards.
