Game Breakdown
It was a tough start for Fontbonne in the first with Greenville opening with a 14-1 lead on Emily Reinneck's layup at 4:05.
The Griffins, though started finding its rhythm going an 11-5 run trimming the deficit to 19-12 on Rylee Pickett's 3-pointer with 43.0 seconds left. Greenville closed out the quarter on a 4-0 run stretching its lead back out to double-digits (23-12) after one.
In the second quarter, the Panthers rattled off a 16-3 run taking a 39-15 advantage. Greenville maintained its double-digit lead throughout and went into the locker room ahead, 46-29.
It was a strong quarter for Rylee Stafford going 3-of-5 from the field and 4-of-5 from the charity-stripe for 13 of the Griffins 17 points.
In the third, the Panthers stayed hot from the field outscoring Fontbonne 30-17 and went 8-of-8 from beyond-the-arc allowing them to have a 76-46 lead after three quarters of action.
Fontbonne shot an improved 57.1 percent from the field in the fourth, including going 5-of-5 from beyond-the-arc, however, the deficit was too great with Greenville going on for the 28-point win.
