Women's Basketball Cruises Past Blackburn, Stafford Becomes All-Time Career Points Leader
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—It was a memorable night for the Fontbonne University women’s basketball team as they not only knocked off Blackburn, 74-45, but Rylee Stafford became the all-time career points leader at Fontbonne with 1,633 breaking a previous record held for 20 years.

Game Breakdown
After starting 0-of-5 from three in the first, the Griffins connected on 6-of-8 from downtown taking a 18-5 lead with 3:37 remaining.
They remained in control the rest of the way leading 23-11 after one. The Griffins went 6-of-15 from the field led by Kourtney White with nine points, while Kya Harbour and Rylee Stafford had six each.
In the second quarter, the Beavers got the deficit down to 23-15 with 9:14 remaining on Aryanna Harris' layup. Fontbonne, though dominated the next seven minutes going on a 16-4 run with Harbour's 3-pointer pushing its lead out to a commanding, 39-19.
The Griffins went 3-of-4 from the free throw line and added another bucket from Jillian Venegas to take a 44-23 advantage into the locker room.
In the third, the Griffins kept its foot on the gas making a 53-28 lead with 5:32 left on Stafford's 3-pointer. The Beavers struggled to find its shooting touch in the third going 2-of-18 allowing Fontbonne to take a 59-29 lead into the fourth.
The history making moment was made in the fourth when Rylee Pickett found a wide-open Stafford in the paint and she laid it up and in to break the career points record at Fontbonne. After a timeout to honor Stafford, the Griffins led 63-29 and cruised to the 29-point win.

- The Griffins put up a season-high 69 shots ending with a 36.2 field goal percentage.
- They also set a season-high with 41 3-point attempts.
- Fontbonne got it done on the glass setting new season-highs in offensive boards (17) and total rebounds (51).
- Blackburn ended with a 27.0 field goal percentage.

- Kourtney White earned her seventh double-double on the year with 23 points and 12 rebounds on 9-of-11 shooting.
- Rylee Stafford ended with 21 points.
- Kya Harbour ended with 16 points on 3-of-8 shooting and going 7-of-7 from the line.
