Game Breakdown
In the first quarter, the Griffins jumped out to an 11-9 lead over the Red Devils at the 3:58 mark on Kourtney White's 3-pointer. The Red Devils took the lead back at 2:49, but Fontbonne capped off the quarter on a 5-0 run for the 16-13 lead on Rylee Stafford's layup.
In the second quarter, the Griffins opened with a 7-0 run with White's layup extending the Griffins advantage out to 23-13 with 7:27 remaining.
With Fontbonne shooting 50.0 percent from the field and the Red Devils hitting just 13 percent of its attempts, the Griffins went into the locker room on top by nine (30-21).
With 6:03 left in the third, the Red Devils trailed 42-31 on Marissa Murphy's free throws. From there, the Griffins put the game out of hand closing out the quarter on a 10-6 run with Haley Buscher's jumper giving Fontbonne a 52-37 advantage heading into the fourth.
In the fourth, the Griffins shot 40.0 percent from the floor and remained in control throughout with Stafford and White combining for 16 of the teams 17 points en route to the 13-point win.
