Women's Basketball Wins Third In A Row; Stafford Has Record Setting Night
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—It was another record-breaking night for Fontbonne University women’s basketball player Rylee Stafford as she became the all-time leader in free throws made and set the single season record for 3-pointers made in the 95-67 win over Principia.

Game Breakdown
It was a slow start for the Griffins with Raina Bryant's layup giving the Panthers an 11-5 lead at 6:28. It was all Fontbonne the rest of the final six minutes closing out on a 16-3 run with Sam Foppe's made jumper from the corner giving them a 21-14 advantage.
At the 6:26 mark of the second quarter, the Griffins led 29-18 on Stafford's 3-pointer giving her 81 on the season which put her atop not only the Fontbonne record books, but she broke her own single-season record of 80 back in 2019-20 to now lead the SLIAC as well.
A minute later, the Panthers trailed 29-21 on Alana Hinson's 3-point play. From there, the Griffins had another dominating finish to the half ending on a 20-6 run leading 49-27 at the break.
It was more of the same story in the third with the Griffins maintaining its double-digit lead throughout as they shot 56.3 percent from the field in the quarter.
Another milestone moment happened just prior to the quarter ending with Stafford making both free throw attempts giving her 333 in her career. She broke the previous record of 332 at Fontbonne held by Janice Kemp since 1997.
It was all Fontbonne in the final 10:00 minutes with the team expanding its lead out to 92-59 with just over 2:30 left on Haley Buscher's 3-pointer and it was smooth sailing from there en route to the 28-point win.

- Kourtney White continued her dominance on both ends of the floor with her eighth double-double on the year with 29 points on 13-of-15 shooting and pulling down 13 boards.
- Rylee Stafford finished with 29 points on 8-of-19 shooting, including going 7-of-13 from downtown.
- Rylee Pickett connected on three 3-pointers for 12 points.
- Haley Buscher came off the bench with 10 points and a career-high seven rebounds.
