ST. LOUIS, Mo - The Fontbonne University women's basketball team opened their season at home this afternoon with a loss to Dominican University, 76-45. The Griffins drop to 0-1 on the season.
Ja'mise Bailey led the floor with 18 points. She was three boards away from a double-double with four coming from the defensive end. She also added two assists and one steal.
Brianna Beamer scored 12 points, going 4-for-19 from the field. She pulled down three boards and had three steals.
Piper Fitzgerald scored six points while Sam Foppe scored five.
Kristen Kaempfe recorded seven rebounds, while Jordan Harpel had four rebounds and scored two points.
The Griffins shot 47 percent from the foul line.
