ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Fontbonne University women's basketball team had a tough match, falling 77-47 in tonight's home match. Despite their determined effort, the Griffins struggled to find their rhythm against the Principia Panthers.
From the opening tipoff, the Panthers applied relentless pressure, capitalizing on scoring opportunities. While the Griffins fought hard, they had difficulty closing the gap, trailing 38-26 at halftime.
Ja'mise Bailey led the floor with 19 points, seven rebounds, six steals and four assists. Brianna Beamer scored 10 points and pulled down five boards. Piper Fitzgerald added five points. Jordan Harpel and Kristen Kaempfe each recorded five rebounds.
Despite the loss, the crowd provided endless support, cheering them on until the final buzzer. The Griffins are set to take on the Blackburn Beavers on the road on Wednesday, December 4. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 PM CST.
