Ja’mise Bailey Joins 1,000 Point Club

ELSAH, Ill. - Senior Ja'mise Bailey reached 1,000 career points in today's loss to SLIAC opponent Principia College, 64-42. 

Fontbonne moved to 1-8 overall and 1-3 in SLIAC play. Principia improved to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. 

Bailey led the floor with 20 points. She went 5-for-18 from the field and 8-for-19 from the foul line, adding two threes. She was one rebound shy from her second consecutive double-double. She also had two steals and one assist. 

Brianna Beamer put up 12 points. She scored four field-goals, three from deep and one free-throw. She also dished in three assists. 

Piper Fitzgerald added one field-goal and one three. 

Five athletes pulled down four boards. 

Fontbonne shot 21 percent from the field, 21 percent from deep and 42 percent from the foul-line. Principia shot 40 percent from the field, 14 percent from deep and 64 percent from the foul-line.

The Griffins remain on the road for two more games. They play Lyon on the 9th at 5:30 p.m. followed by MUW on the 11th at 1 p.m.
