Fontbonne finishes first and second as women's golf wraps up fall season
The Fontbonne University women's golf team finished up their fall season Monday at the MacMurray College Invite. The tournament was at the Links Golf Course in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Leading the way for the Griffins was freshman Kaylee Huelsing who fired a 78. Huelsing won the tournament and again, set a school record for lowest one-day total in a multi-team event as well as setting a school record for lowest one-round score in program history.
Senior Kaitlyn Peter finished second overall in the three-team tournament with a score of 92. Peter's one-day total is her career best. Freshman Brooke Stochl also shot a career best 98 which placed her fifth out of 23 golfers.
