Women's Golf Rewriting Records
St. Louis, Mo. - After being the first Fontbonne women's golfer to win a tournament last year, sophomore Gina Falvey (Cape Coral, Fla.) outshot school history at the Illinois College Invite for the second year in a row this weekend. This year, Falvey shot a 75, the lowest in her career and the new school record. Falvey shot 85 on day one, finishing the two-day total with a combined score of 159. Last season she shot 83 and 84 on the course.
Junior Kaylee Huelsing finished with a career high 88 and 86 on The Links, improving her score of 98 from each round last season.Sophomore Mary Seise also improved, shooting 92 on day one and 102 to finish the round. Last year Seise scored 101 and 108 respectively. Senior Natalie Heck had a rough weekend, totaling 199 after last year's 186 mark.
The Griffins return to action at the Central Methodist Invite on September 15th at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Mo.
