How It Happened
Newcomer, Grinnell College, picked up the SLIAC Championship after scoring a 75-over par 651 (321-330). Illinois College ended up in second place at 87-over par 663 (333-330), while Lake Forest College rounded out the top-three at 97-over par 673 (337-336).
Individually, Nina Kouchi (Grinnell), won the overall on a playoff-hole to finish at 9-over par 153 (73-80). Kassidy Wallin (Spalding) ended in second place.
Fontbonne, meanwhile, was led by Maddi Vandervort after she scored a 35-over par 179 (85-94) for 24th place. Casey Linsenbardt hit a 40-over par 184 (89-95) for 26th place, while Grace Harlin followed in 27th at 42-over par 186 (92-94).
Sarah Saddoris turned in her scorecard at 62-over par 212 (96-110) for 34th place and Allison Franken ended the two-day event at 68-over par 212 (100-112).
At the conclusion of the event, Maddi Vandervort was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
