Josh Presley Picks Up Decision Victory Over Iowa Wesleyan
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men’s wrestling team returned home on Wednesday night taking on Iowa Wesleyan, however, the Tigers came away with the 44-3 win.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's wrestling team returned home on Wednesday night taking on Iowa Wesleyan, however, the Tigers came away with the 44-3 win.
How it Happened
Prior to the men's match, Rider Marks and Kayla Davis each had an exhibition contest against the Tigers.
On the men's side, the Tigers opened with a 6-0 victory at 125 with Kyle Thibodeaux winning by fall over Kody Kretzer.
After Ty Broussard made it 10-0 Iowa Wesleyan with a major decision victory over Daniel Bauer, the Griffins got on the board at 141. It was scoreless after two periods but with a minute remaining Josh Presley got two points for a take down against Will Weidman and he was able to hang on for the decision victory.
The Tigers, though went on to win the next three matches and closed out with three forfeit victories for the win.
