Carthage 39, Fontbonne 17
The Griffins opened with a 6-0 lead after Diego McCormick won by forfeit at 125. At 133, the Firebirds got on the board when Loren Semler won by fall over Daniel Bauer.
Carthage extended its lead out to 12-5 after a forfeit at 141, but the Griffins got to within one at 149 after Cameron Varner won by fall at 1:50 over Jason Eismueller.
At 157, the Firebirds picked up three more points with Zaren Anderson fending off Joe Beck by a 6-5 decision. At 165, the Griffins grabbed a 17-15 lead when Connor Morin won by fall over Max Schmitt.
However, the Firebirds went on to win the next four matches for the victory.
Eureka 33, Fontbonne 18
After McCormick won by forfeit at 125, the Red Devils tied it up at 6-6 after Gaige Owens defeated Bauer.
The Red Devils picked up six more points at 141 on a forfeit and pushed its lead out to 18-6 when Dominic Tenayuca won by fall over Varner at 149.
At 157, Beck picked up his first win on the day for the Griffins by fall over Anthony Sartori to put Fontbonne down 18-12.
The Red Devils added three more points, though at 165 when Andrew Sims defeated Micah Dennis by a 3-1 decision. Morin went on to win his match at 174 by fall over Robert Muhammad, but the comeback was not to be with Eureka going on for the win.
