Dennis, Fofana, Harmon Stood Out at Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – The Fontbonne University men's wrestling opened their season in the highly competitive Kaufman/Brand/Bayly Open today hosted by Maryville University.

The event, which featured some NCAA Division I and II programs from around the Midwest.

Individually, Micah Dennis, Eric Harmon, and Hassan Fofana scored team points.

"It was definitely an eye-opening experience for our guys to compete against mostly Division 1 & 2 competition," commented Head Coach Chad Cook. "Eric did a great job of not being afraid to go after it and to let it fly. We took away a lot of good things to work on from this, and we're ready to get to work!"

Micah Dennis placed eighth. He dropped his seventh-place match by fall to Colby Allen of Drury.

Eric Harmon finished in fifth place. He won his fifth-place match by medical forfeit over Perry Lake of Quincy.

Hassan Fofana took seventh place. He received a bye on his seventh-place match.
