Playing their second game in as many games, the Fontbonne University women's soccer team fell to Simpson College today 2-1 in overtime. The Griffins dropped to 2-5 on the season.
Fontbonne fell behind in the 62 minute but rebounded quickly to tie the game in the 69th minute. Griffin senior Kim Carter scored her second goal of the season to tie the game as junior Erica Kaiping recorded the assist. Simpson scored the game winning goal in the 92nd minute. This was the Griffins second loss in overtime this season.
Fontbonne will return to action Wednesday night playing at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at 6 pm.
