The Griffins took that 2-0 lead into halftime as they held Spalding to just two shots in the opening 45 minutes.
In the second half, Kaiping put the game out of reach in the 82nd minute as she scored her second goal of the game. Senior Kaniz Abbas recorded her third straight shutout and tallied for saves in the game. Abbas and the Griffins have now held opponents scoreless for 289 straight minutes.
