Women's soccer releases 2013 schedule

The Fontbonne University women's soccer program has released its 2013 schedule which is highlighted by trips to Texas, Iowa and Nebraska as well as a non-conference game against 2012 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight participant Washington University.

The Griffins open their season on Sept. 1 in Texas playing Austin College before returning home for their first home game on Sept. 5th against Lindenwood-Belleville University at 6 pm. Fontbonne will hit the road again on Sept. 13th playing in Iowa against Simpson College and on Sept. 15th playing at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

The Griffins toughest non-conference games appears to be on Oct. 9th as they play at Washington University, which advanced to the Elite Eight round of last year's NCAA Tournament.

Fontbonne will open its St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) schedule on Sept. 28th playing at Iowa Wesleyan University. The Griffins first home SLIAC game will be on Oct. 12th against Eureka College. Fontbonne will conclude their 2013 SLIAC schedule at home on Nov. 2nd against Blackburn College.
