The Fontbonne University women's soccer team extended their season-high win streak to four games as they defeated MacMurray College yesterday 5-1. Fontbonne improved to 6-2-3.
Sophomore Lyndsey Godier opened the scoring in the first minute of the game on an assist from junior Kayla Thorpe. Freshman Kelly Hobbs and Savannah Davis scored in the 19th and 20th minute to extend Fontbonne's lead to 3-0.
In the second half, senior Jessica Brock scored on an assist from Thorpe. Brock then assisted on a goal from sophomore Monica Jane Lopez to round out the Griffins scoring.
Fontbonne now has outscored its opponents 16-1 during their four-game winning streak. The Griffins return to the pitch Wednesday night whey they played #3 ranked Washington University at 7:30 pm.
