The Fontbonne University women's soccer team gave up four unanswered goals in the second half Tuesday night as they fell to Principia College 4-0. The Griffins dropped to 8-5-3 overall and 4-2 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC).
After a scoreless first half, Principia took the lead in the 59th minute. Principia then scored 3 goals in an 11 minute span to put the game away. Fontbonne junior Meggin Werner recorded nine saves in the loss for the Griffins.
Fontbonne will return to the pitch Saturday when they host Spalding University at 3 pm.
