Soccer teams receive NSCAA Team Academic Awards

The Fontbonne University men's and women's soccer teams were recently honored by the National Soccer Coaches of American Association (NSCAA) with the 2012-2013 Team Academic Award. This award recognizes teams for posting a team cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Last year's men's team posted a 3.2 team GPA while the women's team had a 3.51.

In all, 269 men's teams across the country were recongized while 593 women's teams achieved the honor. Fontbonne was one of 184 colleges or universities across the country to have both its men's and women's teams receive the honor. This is the second straight year the women's team has received the honor and the first for the men.
