Franklin, Ind. - Fontbonne University women's soccer has gotten off to a rocky 2015 start. The Griffins traveled to Franklin College to take on the Grizzlies to open the 2015 season after setting several team records in 2014. Fontbonne fell 0-2 and had just two shots on goal all game.
Senior goalkeeper Tayler Pulvirenti was in the hot seat, saving six Grizzly attempts, with most action occurring in the first half. The Collinsville, Ill. native saved five shots in the first half alone.
In the past, the Griffins have relied on corner kicks to get out of a jam, but tonight only saw one chance come their way. Starting the season off with the loss, Fontbonne looks to rebound this weekend when they travel to Memphis Tenn. as Rhodes College hosts several teams. The Griffins will take on Southwestern (Texas) on Saturday at 10am followed by Ozarks College (Ark.) on Sunday at noon.
