St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne University women's soccer fell to Webster University tonight 2-0. The Griffins are now 5-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Fontbonne jumped out with possession and two shots on goal in the first four and a half minutes. A collision in the box sent a Griffin home early in the 14th minute and Webster scored their first goal in the 34th minute.
The Griffins returned an unsuccessful shot right after the start of the second period and Webster secured their second goal in the 77th minute on a cross from the left side of the box to the middle.
Tayler Pulvirenti made seven saves in net for Fontbonne while Robin Bolme saved three and recorded the shutout.
Fontbonne is on the road this weekend, taking on the Greenville College Panthers at 3pm on Saturday.
