Wendt And Caruso Sweep The SLIAC Player Of The Week Awards
ST. LOUIS, Mo.— After outscoring its opponents 22-2 and going on a three game winning streak the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) awarded Meredith Wendt and Daniele Caruso as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.— After outscoring its opponents 22-2 and going on a three game winning streak the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) awarded Meredith Wendt and Daniele Caruso as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
Wendt, a Troy, Illinois, native, earns the honor for the second time this season after breaking out for five goals and two assists for 12 points. On the year, she's now up to a team-high eight goals which ranks her third overall in the conference.
Caruso, a St. Louis, Missouri, native, picks up the award for the first time this year after tallying two assists and holding Oakland City, Harris-Stowe and Eureka to just four shots on goal per game.
The Griffins are back at it tomorrow night as they'll take on Webster University at Centene Stadium. Kick-off begins at 8 p.m.
