How It Happened
The Griffins got the scoring started in the 11th minute when Molly Kovarik scored an unassisted goal to give them the 1-0 lead. From there, the team got goals from Rebecca Bass (two), Caroline Neal, Kierstyn Weaver, Sam Amezcua, and Taylor Skaggs to give them the 7-0 lead at the break.
It was more of the same story in the second half offensively for Fontbonne with Kovarik, Skaggs, and Haley Buscher all scoring to give Fontbonne the 10-0 victory.
Fontbonne Leaders
- The Griffins ended with 49 shots and held the Tigers to zero.
- Skaggs, Bass, and Kovarik each had two goals.
- Weaver led with a game-high three assists and Bass contributed two.
- Makayla Hussong earned her sixth win on the season.
