How It Happened
The Griffins opened with a 4-1 shot advantage in the first but Greenville netminder Grace Gehner kept a scoreless contest. Fontbonne outshot the Panthers 6-1 overall in the half but were unable to find the back of the net after 45:00 minutes of play.
It remained a 0-0 tie up until the 78:06 mark when Molly Kovarik found Krystal Kohenskey and she beat Gehner to give them a 1-0 lead. One minute and 23 seconds later the Griffins struck again with Kovarik crossing it over for Riley Maag in the box and she scored her first collegiate goal to give them a 2-0 lead. Fontbonne held onto the shutout in the final 11 minutes for the win.

- The Griffins finished with 17 shots.
- Kohenskey's goal was her second on the season. She led the team with five shots.
- Kovarik's assists were her first on the season.
- Caitlyn Smith added four shots.
- Mary Beers made two saves in net.
