Game Breakdown
The Griffins wasted no time getting on the board as at the 1:15 mark Krystal Kohenskey's corner kick attempt found Rylee Stafford and the Jackson, Mo., native, headed in her first goal on the year for the 1-0 lead.
Fontbonne offense continued its pressure and extended its lead out to 2-0 in the 28th minute. Claire Dalton had the ball near midfield and her through ball attempt split the Beavers defense. Molly Kovarik used her speed to get past the Blackburn defense and scored on the breakaway for her seventh on the year.
One minute later, the Griffins struck again capitalizing off a Beavers turnover. Caitlyn Smith got the loose ball and passed it up for Kohenskey who tipped her shot past Morgan Zobrist giving Fontbonne a 3-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, the Griffins tacked on two more goals with Kohenskey finding twine in the 50th minute and reigning SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week, Caroline Neal, netting her sixth on the season in the 60th minute en route to the shutout win.

- Stafford's goal was her fourth in her career.
- Kovarik has 43 goals now in her career and needs six more to become the all-time leader at Fontbonne.
