Kohenskey, Bateman, And Neal Earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region VIII Team Honors
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The United Soccer Coaches All-Region VIII Team were announced today and the Fontbonne University women’s soccer team saw Krystal Kohenskey get named to the Second Team, while Libby Bateman and Caroline Neal earned Third Team honors.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The United Soccer Coaches All-Region VIII Team were announced today and the Fontbonne University women's soccer team saw Krystal Kohenskey get named to the Second Team, while Libby Bateman and Caroline Neal earned Third Team honors.
Kohenskey, a Troy, Mo., native, earns the honor after having a career season posting 14 goals and 15 assists for 43 points which led the SLIAC. She was named SLIAC Player of the Year for the first time in her career and was selected to the SLIAC First Team.
She finishes her career at Fontbonne with 28 goals and 42 assists for 98 points ranking first all-time at Fontbonne in assists, fourth in points, and 10th in goals.
Bateman, a Glen Carbon, Ill., native, is named to the All-Region Team for the first time in her career. The senior totaled one goal on the year and was a starter on the Griffins defense that allowed just eight goals on the season. She was also named to the SLIAC All-Conference First Team.
Neal, a Wentzville, Mo., native, also earns All-Region for the first time after posting six goals and 12 points on the year. She went on to be named to the SLIAC All-Conference First Team for the second straight season.
Neal finishes her career at Fontbonne with 39 goals and 16 assists for 94 points. She ranks sixth all-time in goals, 10th in assists, and sixth in points.
