CHICAGO, Ill. – The Fontbonne University women's soccer team opened the 2023 season by traveling to University of Chicago when they fell 3-0, Friday afternoon.
With 11:40 on the clock, Emma Anselm attempted the only shot for the Griffins during the game but was unable to find the back of the net.
During the second period, University of Chicago scored three goals to take the win.
Holly Pearce stayed in between posts for 90 minutes. She recorded 15 saves with six coming in the first period.

The Griffins will have a day off tomorrow and return to action on Sunday, Sept. 3 against St. Xavier on the road. Kick-off is scheduled for 11 a.m.
