ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University women's soccer team defeated Greenville this Saturday afternoon during SLIAC opener. The Griffins improved to 1-3-1 on the season.
The Griffins scored one goal in each period to secure the shutout against Greenville.
Caitlyn Smith scored the first goal assisted by Emma Anselm with 21:31 on the clock.
A corner kick from Bianca Cortez-Perez found Libby Bateman's head that found the back of the net, in the 67th minute.
Holly Pearce played 90 minutes in between posts. She stopped three shots.
Fontbonne outshot Greenville, 20-5.
