ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University women's soccer team shutout Spalding University this Thursday evening. The Griffins improve to 2-3-1 overall and 2-0 on the season.
Both teams remained scoreless in the first period of regulation.
With the clock hitting the 55th minute mark, Emma Anselm found the back of the net for Fontbonne, who took the 1-0 win against Spalding.
Anselm totaled 10 shots in the evening.
Holly Pearce played 90 minutes in between posts and had one save.
The Griffins outshot Spalding, 16-4.
