ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to Illinois College this Saturday afternoon. The Griffins move to 2-4-1 overall and 2-0 on the season.
Fontbonne had 13 shots during the first period while IC had zero.
In the second period, Fontbonne had 12 other opportunities to score but the offense was unable to find a way. IC had four chances and did not waste their chance as they were able to score the only goal of the day.
Mia Biermann and Hayley Williams each had five shots.
Bianca Cortez-Perez and Emma Anselm each had three shots.
Holly Pearce played 90 minutes on goal. She recorded one save in the second half.
Fontbonne outshot IC, 25-4.
The Griffins will face off against Rhodes tomorrow in Memphis, Tenn. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
