ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University women's soccer team shutout Principia College this afternoon, 2-0. The Griffins improve to 4-5-1 on the season and 4-0 in conference play.
The Griffins had 12 opportunities to score on the first period but were unable to find the back of the net, while Principia had no shots.
The game went into halftime tied 0-0.
Katie Leeker scored the first goal for the Griffins on a penalty kick.
Emma Anselm found the back of the net next to extend the lead for the Griffins assisted by Caitlyn Smith.
Fontbonne outshot Principia, 32-0.
