ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University women's soccer team blanked Blackburn College this evening on Senior Night, 5-0. The Griffins finished regular season with an 8-7-1 overall record and 8-1 in conference play.
Bianca Cortez-Perez scored the first goal of the night for Fontbonne in the fifth minute.
Two minutes later, Blackburn scored an own goal to extend the Griffins' lead to 2-0.
Allyson Jones scored one more for the Griffins in the first half.
Mia Biermann and Caitlyn Smith each scored one goal in the second period to conclude the game 5-0.
Fontbonne outshot Blackburn, 31-0.
Holly Pearce played 90 minutes in between posts.
