ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University women's soccer team closed the season with an 1-0 loss to Greenville University in the SLIAC semifinals this afternoon.
In the 27th minute, Ashlie Johnston Cabral found the back of the net for Greenville.
The Griffins had five shots on the first period but were unable to find the back of the net.
Fontbonne had 11 more opportunities to tie the game but were unable to succeed.
The Griffins outshot Greenville, 16-9.
Holly Pearce played 90 minutes on goal and stopped five shots.
