ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's tennis team fell 9-0 in a conference match against Westminster on Tuesday afternoon.
In doubles play, the Blue Jays came away with an 8-2 and 8-1 victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. At No. 3, the duo of Jordan Sampson and Sarah Johnson gave Meaghan McGuire and Avery Ingle everything they had, though Westminster went on for the 8-5 win.
In singles action, the Griffins put forth the hard fought effort, however Westminster came away with the 9-0 win.
