St. Louis- The Griffins' short travel to play Millikin University (at Washington U) didn't turn out so well as Fontbonne fell 25-14, 25-16 and 25-12. The Griffins are now 4-7 overall.
Millikin's Audrey Krajec slammed down a 0.52 kill percentage, limiting the Friffin offense. Teammate Sara Travis was also a major threat, as she nailed a .429 hitting percentage throughout the match.
Fontbonne's Rachel Barnes and Krista Beyer tried to hold the back row together, digging out 10 and 9 attacks respectively. Maddie Stadler led the Griffin attack with 10 kills and Abbie Bergtholdt held the highest Griffin attacking percentage.
Fontbonne hosts Iowa Wesleyan College and Mid-Continent University Monday, September 30th. The Griffins take on the Tigers (IWC) at 3pm and the Cougars (MCU) at 7pm. The Tigers and Cougars battle at 5pm.
