ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University women's volleyball team jumped back into conference play on Wednesday night but fell in straight sets against Greenville.

How It Happened
In the first set, the Griffins opened with a quick 4-0 lead, though the Panthers regained the 10-7 advantage. They stretched it out to 18-10 and closed out the set on consecutive kills from Jasmin Smith for the 25-15 win.
In the second set, a solo block from Emma Seiz made it an 11-11 contest. The Panthers gained breathing room later in the set on Anna Finch's kill to give the ma 21-14 lead. Out of a timeout, the Panthers finished off the set on a 4-1 run for the 25-15 victory.
Greenville opened the third with a quick 12-3 lead. The Panthers posted 14 kills and just two errors for a .333 hitting percentage in the third set and that allowed them to go on for the 25-11 set and match win.

- Fontbonne finished with 24 kills, a .048 hitting percentage, and 50 digs.
- The team had its struggles with serve receive committing 13 reception errors.
- The Panthers ended with 38 kills and a. 277 hitting percentage.

- Abby Grumich contributed 16 assists.
- Defensively, Megan Schaller led with 13 digs and Rae Andrews contributed 12.
